As you plan your wedding and talk to vendors, I’m sure many of them are asking you… do you have a wedding planner? If you’re quickly saying, “no way!” or if you are on the fence about having a wedding planner than this post is for you!
Here are some reasons on why having a wedding planner or coordinator is SO important to your wedding day:
They keep things stress free (or at least reduced). They can coordinate meetings, contracts, timeline, payments, and other small details so you don’t have too. A good planner will listen to your vision and work within your budget to make it a reality.
They can keep you on budget. A wedding planner will be able to help you make decisions to still have the biggest impact. For example, if you love flowers a coordinator can help you put money towards a flower wall or installation and just have eucalyptus garlands for guest tables instead of flowers. Or they can help you decide between a DJ or live band depending on your wedding vibe. They can help make some of those hard decisions.
They can help you get vendor discounts. Yup its true. I love working with my favorite friendors (that’s friends & vendors), so they might be able to work something out with the team they help you put together, just ask!
They can help work out quick turnarounds (ceremony to reception) and navigate difficult venues with ease.
Some other tips to remember, your venue might have a coordinator that is included but remember that they work for the venue, not for you. Also, you can bring in a planner at any wedding stage. It can be from day 1 to help build your vendor team, or bring them in to design 3 to 6 months out, etc. They will be involved as much as you need them!
