Picking outfits for your engagement or couple session can be so hard but don’t worry this post is made just for you! Here are three tips to help you pick out your outfits:
1. Go for color. If you’ve taken a look at my work you know that I LOVE color. So when choosing outfits I encourage my couples to really go for it! Wear that red dress or buy that yellow skirt. These are formal portraits and most importantly, your first family heirloom so I say dress it up! If you don’t know what color to go with think of the season; bright colors for summer and spring, rich vibrant jewel tones for fall and winter. Easily one of my best dressed couples was Kyle and Yesenia. He wore a navy-blue suit that was tailored to perfection and she wore a gorgeous red number that showed off her amazing curves and tattoos.
2. Confident and comfortable. Go for something really eye catching that makes you feel confident and comfortable. Make sure it fits properly and if you are self-conscious about a certain area; think of ways to downplay it with accessories like a jacket, jewelry, or a scarf. When you feel good in what you are wearing, you take better photos! It’s that simple.
3. Flow don’t match. Gone are the days where everyone need to match! Instead, here are some color combos that look great: 1) orange and blue, 2) green and yellow, 3) blue and yellow, 4) red and blue, 5) earth tones look great together, and 6) cream/grey works with everything.
