Rainbows have never looked quite this chic as this watercolor wedding inspiration! First up were some fabulous flatlays to show off the bride’s wedding day accessories! The modern minimalist invitations by Plume Calligraphy paired perfectly with whimsical butterfly details and pastel watercolor accents to add to the fabulous rainbow vibes of the shoot!

Our couple were just as stylish, with a white off the shoulder wedding dress from Alexandra Grecco for the bride! The amazing puffed sleeves featured an embroidered floral pattern on the sheer, flowing material, creating a dramatic contrast to the structured silk crepe gown.

The groom paired a classic three piece suit in charcoal gray with a slate blue tie – the traditional look made a fun pairing with his very modern hairstyle to give his look personality and individual style!

Floral artist Oak and the Owl created an organic and unstructured ceremony backdrop that used rainbow pastel wedding flowers to create a stunning deconstructed arch. The mauve velvet mid century chairs added to the opalescent color palette with chic style!

The reception decor gave Adore Folklore a chance to play with mid century modern velvet chairs and a grand trestle dining table! The whitewashed farm table was set with a colorful rainbow of flowers, mixing lavender pillar candles with an array of pastel beeswax taper candles.

Greystone Table kept the place settings chic and colorful with handmade limoges porcelain plates with a blush watercolor splash. The gold deckled edge tied in with the metallic flatware to add a glamorous finish to the mix of colors! Lavender napkins, vintage pink glassware, and sea green velvet chairs added to the stunning mix of colors in a cohesive rainbow palette!

I love being based on the central coast because there is such a variety of environments for me and my couples to explore. Anna and Jarrod are getting married next year in Monterey and they wanted their session to be in a place that would really highlight the scenery, to give their guests a sneak peek of their wedding day to come! I had the perfect location in mind - truly a favorite of mine and they absolutely LOVED it!

Keep scrolling to check out some of my favorites from their Carmel engagement session! Plus as a bonus, I shot a lot of film at their session, can you tell the difference between film and digital photography? Comment and let me know!

Let's talk about their super cute outfits! For the first part of their session, Anna wore a colorful romper and Jarrod wore black slacks and a blazer. For their more casual outfit, Anna wore this white sweater with puffy sleeves that I'm absolutely in love with and Jarrod wore a jean shirt and khakis. I just loved their cute and casual laid back style, it fits their personalities so well!

Here's a mix of my favorites from outfit number one, their dressy outfits!

I love adding some scenic shots into my galleries so you can always remember the context for your images! I lived in this area for 3 years before I became a San Luis Obispo wedding photographer, so it will always hold a special place in my heart!

About halfway through the session, I usually have my couples change into their more casual outfits. I love doing it this way because now they are all warmed up and I can get those really cozy shots that I love.

Here is a mix of my favorites from outfit #2, their casual outfits. Both of them are soooo good and don't you just love Anna's smile!

Hey, I'm Kelley

I'm in love with sunsets, my husband, finding the best happy hour, and telling love stories through images. When I'm not capturing weddings, you can find me hiking in Big Sur, wine tasting in Carmel, or hanging out on the couch with my man. Thank you for checking out my blog, we're practically best friends already.
